I have " scene " hair or whatever they call it at my school . I mean I have a lot of short layers on the top %26amp; stuff that are supposed to stick up . I blow dry it which makes the layers stick up for an hour or somtimes two , but what else can I do to keep it my layers up for the whole day %26amp; to keep my hair poofyish ? Ugh my hair sucks big time .

My son tried to do the same thing. The only thing you can do is make sure that it is short enough. Long hair will not stand up and stay. If you like the length your hair then I would go to a beauty supply store and get a product that will make it stiff. I know they have stuff out there called clay, You can put your hair any way with that stuff. But overall the shorter the hair, the easier it will be to stand up. If you put any product on your hair and then blow dry it, it will most likely turn your hair soft and poofy, you know what i mean? You really have to use alot of product and i mean alot of product to keep it crusty.

I have this question answered for you...I use MC Mastercuts(med.hold) it is a semi-paste(use very little)comes in a 2 oz.jar and lasts forever cause you don't need to use much, it's clear and it doesn't make your hair stiff! I get mine at the Beauty warehouse $9.95. It's wonderful. 2nd best, I found is the Pantene root lifter voluminizing spray gel(max.hold) you only spray it on the roots and it lasts all day. Hope those 2 products help...it does for me. You can find the root lifter by several manufacturers at any drugstore(wal-marts,etc)Costs about 4.95-6.95. Again, this will last you for a long time cause you don't need much!
